Catch an exhibition that perfectly ties social causes, music, and art. Noise For Now presents a unique event, featuring curated artworks for sale alongside an annual concert through July 21. This event, in collaboration with Upstate Art Weekend, aims to boost resources for reproductive care and rights, responding to the evisceration of Roe v. Wade in 2022.

Noise for Now and participating artists are uniting to safeguard and empower women affected by crumbling reproductive rights. Amelia Bauer, founder and executive director of the nonprofit, emphasizes the importance of protecting abortion access in these challenging times. “Creating community, beauty, and joy within the struggle for our collective freedom is how we will persist and ultimately prevail,”she asserts. Bauer extends her gratitude to the artists and supporters contributing to this significant exhibition, highlighting their dedication to protecting and supporting reproductive services.

Curated by Bauer and Kate Steciw, the exhibition features works by notable artists such as Charles Purvis, Melanie Delgado, and Ethan Greenbaum, among others. These artists have provided limited edition pieces and other original works tailored to the exhibition’s theme. An impressive 90% of the proceeds will go to the New York Abortion Access Fund and independent abortion clinics throughout New York State, underscoring the urgent need for such initiatives in the face of ongoing political attacks on reproductive care. Visitors can view these standout artworks at the YMCA gallery during the exhibition. Noteworthy pieces include Ethan Greenbaum’s portrayal of a door set against a backdrop of intricate, chaotic colors. As a key partner, Upstate Art Weekend—an annual event celebrating New York's cultural vibrancy—adds further significance to this collaboration. Adding to the event's appeal, a special concert takes place today, July 19, enriching the music aspect of the exhibition.
